REED & BARTON Francis I Solid WAFFLE SERVER Pierced STERLING Silver New Marks 9-3/8 Introduced by Reed & Barton in 1907, Francis I silverware quickly became a favorite of nobility and presidents. This Renaissance-inspired flatware pattern has an ornate handle that is decorated with voluminous scrollwork, leaves, blossoms and fruit. Francis I is an exquisite example of silver artisanship. The waffle server can be used for a variety of foods - with very pretty details on handle and decorative pierced.
Blade - new marks: Sterling, Reed & Barton on the back of handle - it's a heavy piece, weighing 165 grams on my postal scale. No monogram - pre-owned / estate condition - c an be a hard-to-find piece. A ny pink or dark areas are reflections from camera and lighting.
